Air Compressors
The air compressors listed below are currently in stock. The most significant difference between Bendix air compressors is their capacity, for example:
Tu-Flow 501 12 cu. Ft. per min. Tu-Flow 550 13.2 cu. Ft. per min. Tu-Flow 700 15.5 cu. Ft. per min. Tu-Flow 750 16.5 cu. Ft. per min. However there is large amount of part numbers within each compressor model based on other requirements set by the truck OEM’s and engine manufacturers. There are direct engine driven units and pulley driven units. Pulley driven vertical mount compressors are manufactured with a variety of base mounts with 4, 6, or no holes. Engine driven units are produced with various flanges that bolt on to the engine at various angles dictated by the space in the engine compartment. A nameplate is always attached to Bendix compressors that identify the part number and the name plate is the only practical way to be confident when ordering a replacement. Note: Bendix offers a “service” brochure for each of their compressor models. At the end of this brochure is a general purpose trouble-shooting guide for all compressors. The trouble-shooting guide is shown below as a separate document. The unique configurations for each engine are described in the "catalogue" that Bendix has produced for each model. The “service data” brochure for each model provides information for maintaining good operations.

When air pressure builds too slowly there could be a stuck air compressor inlet valve, restricted discharge line, leakage somewhere downstream in the system, or the compressor may be undersized for all of the air pressure your truck needs.
