End Yokes

What do you need to know to identify your end yoke?

1. Determine the driveshaft “series”.  Knowing the distance between the ends of the u-joint's bearing caps will help you to determine the series. 
2. Determine the center hole size (most often splined) and the spline count. There are two different kinds of splines. Our parts list indicates an “involute” spline with the abbreviation “inv”. Otherwise the spline pattern is the parallel sided style. All listed parts have splined holes unless otherwise noted.
3. Which of several methods is used for securing the yoke around the u-joint? There are half round (HR), u-bolt (UB), bearing plate (BP), bearing strap (BS), snap ring (SR), and inside snap ring (ISR).

Certain other dimensions are included in our list of parts in stock but the Spicer catalog or one of our parts specialists can help better confirm the part number you must replace.  

Note the certain part numbers represent an “assembly” which means that a slinger and plug are included. See the Spicer catalog for the part numbers of the slinger/plug if you are needing just these components. 

Some end yokes are more specialized such as for supporting a “high angle” or for use with a “coupling shaft”.
