Torque Rod Replacements with Rubber Bushings by Dayton Parts

Torque rods are normally maintained by replacing the old bushings with new. When the rod itself has been damaged replacement rods are available in the exact size of the original equipment or can be made to the exact length you require by welding a female end and male end together.  To learn more about the importance of torque rods for maintaining axle alignment read this tip from Dayton Parts.

If you find yourself with a torque rod that needs more than rebushing, consider replacing the old rod with an Atro torque rod using longer lasting polyurethane bushings.

Atro Two-piece Torque Rods

For maximum versatility and minimum inventory a wise repair shop manager should consider stocking two-piece torque rods and have the ability to make a finished torque rod of any length up to 36". See Atro's chart for the male and female ends required to make finished torque rods. Assembly is as simple as cutting the bar on the male end with a saw. (Do not flame cut.) Remove burrs. Push the bar into the sleeve on female end. Weld sleeve to the bar. These bushings have a three year warranty and the torque rods will be able to be rebushed.
